This thing cuts through your bushes like a knife through warm butter. And you'll never want to drag the electric cord around ever again! That's a huge PITA when trimming. Trimming the bushes is a chore i dread, but this tool makes it much more tolerable.
Which is funny to me because I've spent $1000s with them. Without a doubt they have their issues as far as shipping goes (slow, overloaded orders, etc.) but everything I've ordered from them has been spot on, way cheaper than retail, and works like a champ.
I just bought a gas backpack leaf blower, a 7 1/4" sliding miter saw, a tripod light, and a floodlight for a little less than $350. And all of them came brand new in a retail box, tested fine, and they even through in an electrostatic sprayer (that's garbage, but that's another story). 🤷🏻
YMMV
EDIT: the one time I did need to use their customer service, they picked up the phone fairly quickly, sent a return shipping label, and refunded me promptly. No hassles.

yes. What irks me most is that I ordered this hedge trimmer for $80 on sale, then a water broom on sale and it came with a free sprayer. When they shipped, the water broom was out of stock and so was the free sprayer. If they canceled the order, I would not have minded as much as them shipping only the trimmer. They will not accept a return unless I pay 20% plus the shipping, since there is nothing wrong with the trimmer.
Direct Tool is legit. Never received a "factory blemished" item that wasn't in mint condition down to the packaging. The quality of the deals vary, shipping is sometimes slow, but it's a liquidator, not Amazon. That said, some of the tools in this sale are screaming deals.
Generally speaking from experience with other Ryobi tools offered on both 18V/40V, 40V is going to be more powerful and have better battery life, but 18V is adequate for most homeowners. Depends on the size of your job.
seller directoolsoutlet has poor reviews everywhere. slow processing, bad customer service.
if you want to take a shot, go for it.
