What's the benefit of the G1 if the C1's also have the EVO panel (at least if your unit has the EVO)?

All 77 have 2021 models have the evo panel but only the g1 has it enabled on the software, G1 has a 5 year warranty that covers burn in with normal use, g1 had no stand is meant to be flush mounted to the wall, includes mounting bracket

Thanks for the clarification. I heard the newer C1's also have the EVO (there are ways to check if your C1 has the newer EVO panel supposedly).

Although, I'm not sure if the new C1's have the "software" you're talking about. Actually hearing about the software for the first time, does the software make a difference?

You can check the C1 by looking at the code on the box. Here's a link that shows you what to look for.

https://techunwrapped.com/how-to-...pening-it/

As for the C1 being able to use it, it's done via the service menu. It doesn't get you all the brightness that the G1 has, so I don't think it's worth trying

Very keen on this but due to the shape/size of my wall I cannot flush-mount. Can one use a conventional mount, VESA style? I understand the 'art' effect will be sacrificed.

I have heard this before, but what is the source that all 77s have the evo panel? I find it a little hard to believe, mostly because the 48" panels were created not to fill a specific niche in the OLED lineup, but to reduce panel waste from the production of 77" units, so if true, would that not mean that all 48" panels are evo panels as well?

Just get a C series then. Very little benefit to the G series besides the flush mount.

But to answer your question, it is a standard VESA 300x300.

I have ordered a C1 from Costco that hasn't shipped yet for this same price (but it included extras, like 3 year allstate ). I am planning to wallmount as flush with the wall as possible.

Worth cancelling and getting this? I don't know much about TVs

edit: I just saw the 65" C1 from Costco is 100 less than what I paid, so assuming I can price adjust, the question is: is it worth staying with the C1 (and warranty) for $100 less?
C1 still a solid tv but the G1 will be more flush with the wall.

As far as the Costco warranty, if I recall that doesn't cover any burn in which the Best Buy warranty does.

Wow. They have the same open box deal near me. But don't need a tv. Decisions decisions. Did you pick yours up yet?
Do you have an OLED? If not, then you need a TV.

Sorry. I'm just trying to give you an excuse. Haha.

Will the 65" fit in a mid size sedan?
The roof would be the only way. It's a huggge box.
