Easy Peasy.

ETA: My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10.
Yeah, so these Samsung mail ins are just for the screen replacement. I work at a UbreakiFix, and the kits we get are screen + frame of device + battery. I'm assuming a Fold they're only going to replace with a new frame and battery, not sure if they even do just screen repairs for the Folds and Flips due to design.
Kudos for Samsung for providing this. Looking at you Apple and Microsoft. Surface duo screen repair is 700 seriously?

Watch out for courier theft! My wife traded in her almost new S21 for a S22 on an earlier deal. Samsung said they received an empty box for my wife's trade in and we are on the hook for $1000. Samsung provided the free return shipping for the trade in but won't take responsibility for the loss. And my wife can't file a claim with FedEx since she didn't pay for the shipping.

FYI, I just had a horrible experience with Samsung mailed-in repair. So my phone is the S8+ with a cracked front screen, still power on, still see things on the LCD and I was quoted $74.69 to repair the cracked front screen - I believe similar to this deal just slightly more expensive.

So they asked to charge me $74.69 and a few days later they sent a new bill for a total of $247.89 to include a $160 charge for the LCD Assembly Repair Fee.

When I called to inquire, their rep said $74.69 was just a standard service fee and the actual repair would cost $160 more.

I'm at a loss or words to describe what a disgusting fast Samsung is trying to pull. I hope this is not the universal case for this deal.

Empty box happens alot. There are bad google reviews for that 3rd party trade in facility. Samsung always manually approves the trade-in if you ask them. Just show them screenshot of the google reviews that other people are getting empty boxes. Show them the weight of the package on fedex tracking. Show them pictures/videos you took before shipping the item out. Talk to order support via website. Dont talk to them via app or the blue bubble on website. Or you can call, but i always had help through order support on website. They should manually approve the trade. Lots of people have done it

Interesting because I had a similar experience with a different outcome. I can however confirm I was only charged $74.69 total ( I checked my charges online). I spoke to two different reps and they both re assured me they did not charge my card as the original amount due was wrong ($73.--). It was only like a dollar difference. Not $160. So I'm shocked the rep told you this amount was going to be charged. My phone is also a Samsung galaxy s8+.

I received the same email but soon after they sent me another email with a re adjusted price of $74.69. Because of that I had to call Samsung to finalize the charge. I just confirmed final price with a Samsung rep and they are going to repair my S8+screen.
So what was the final price, after you reconfirmed it? $50 or $247? Thanx

They are not saying they will replace the digitizer. They are saying they will replace the glass
They don't do that. The display on most of these samsung phones for years have had fused glass with the digitizer. They replace the whole thing and why replacement screens are so expensive.

They pulled that nonsense with me and others. I tried to have an S8+ repaired. They told me it was because the S8+ wasn't part of the promotion. Then why did it charge me that message n the first place ????

Back in 2020 I was quoted $280 for a Note9 screen repair by a Samsung-authorized place. They said they always replace the battery while they are at it, but the price ended up being lower than expected and there was nothing on the receipt about the battery. It was clear they never replaced it and the battery wear became very noticeable by the end of the year. It's the only reason I had to stop using it in January 2021.

My screen still looks and works like new but $50 sounds worth it just for the battery. Does Samsung replace batteries when they replace the screen? Is there a similar deal on battery replacements?

I even asked to speak with a "supervisor" of the service center named "Jesus". Both reps insisted the total amount is $247.89 instead of $74.69. I had to cancel the repair ticket and asked to have my phone back since it was absurd.
