I was thinking the same thing initially, but weirdly enough the packaging of the copper shield changed from the images as well and doesn't promote the pressure compensation anymore either, only the copper shield.

I can't say for sure what happened, but this is what I ended up with which is suboptimal to what I wanted it for and so I just used the 50ft rolls of the twice as expensive copper shield.
Would be interesting to contact Rain Bird, but I wasn't sure if that would even get me somewhere since the 100ft tubing doesn't have any number or packaging that would allow me to tell Rain Bird which product I've received

Has everything you'll need for a basic install, the directions are pretty easy to understand. I learned on basic irrigation kit (the Landscape kit, can be on sale for $19'ish). Once I installed that one, I learned enough to draw out a plan for the garden and minimized the trips to HD.

Punching holes to add emitters is the scary part, but its easy once you get the hang of it. It does require a bit of force to get the barbed insert into the 1/2 line. There are hole punching and barb inserting tools out there if you are planning on doing a lot of emitters.

Do be careful w/ the off brands, especially the ones using mm measurements, many don't work well w/ the 1/4 & 1/2 fittings and will leak. Also stay away from the ones where you have to cut up your garden hose to bridge planting sections, unless you have some of the cheap green hose you no longer need.

You cannot attach to an existing sprinkler head. The pressure on a standard underground system runs at around 60 psi, a drip system runs around 30. You'd blow the couplings apart.

Unless you're really sure where you want your emitters do not buy these pre-spaced packages just get the unspaced one and put the holes in it it's much cheaper (usually, now it's the same price) and more useful...
when I bought my two most recent sets in mid may I Paid 10.38 each, should have posted on Slickdeals apparently but as I paid $12 the previous time (2017) I assumed that was standard price 🤷. This might help you with links to calculators, I personally do multiple runs instead of one big one as it's easier to replace when things break instead of having to replace everything down stream due to a tear in the middle from the dog/chickens/weather (and since I have different watering needs at different locations)

58 is too high. You need a regulator for this.

Cool. I accidentally converted a sprinkler head to drip without a regulator and blew the mister irrigation 1/2" line. Seems drip hose is not the same as "funny pipe" 😁
