I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

Myself and P2 have been on the 8GB plan for 3 years. Service and reception have been fine. Port-in was a hassle finding a human at AT&T to speak to.

We buy the AT&T prepaid cards online from Target when they go on sale for 10% off plus 5% RedCard. No tax in our state.

Please share DP's if you're able to change from the 8GB plan.
I don't understand how the gift cards work if you have to pay the $300 up front. Can you elaborate? Thanks!!

If I'm on a regular month to month AT&T prepaid plan, do you think I'm eligible for this as a "new" customer? I'd certainly be new to paying them $300 up front.

How does the "fund your account within 26 days of activation to avoid cancellation" work if you are prepaying a year? Do you still need to deposit funds?

Of AT&T's prepaid plans, only PREPAID UNLIMITED gives 5G. The plan costs $50/mo with autopay (+taxes). Other prepaid plans will show 5G but speed will be throttled to LTE. That said, the speeds are good, I've never experienced deprioritization and it works in the boonies. Much better speeds than Visible in my neighborhood.

I've only had visible for about three or so weeks, but in the three times I've had to deal with chat customer support has been awesome... never waiting for more than one or two minutes before help and then they were very helpful. if it stays like this then I prefer it over phone support even, a lot easier, less off-putting. but I can appreciate your experience being different... maybe they've recently improved since your last exchange.
This AT&T plan is better in several ways:
- priority over other mvno
- some (not 100% of postpaid) domestic roaming
- Mexico and Canada roaming
- hotspot

Is the 16 Gb only for the first year or for subsequent annual renewals as well? If the 16 GB plan also renews during the next annual renewal, then this is a deadly deal.

For me the whole point of pre-pay service is that I can switch providers for absolutely any reason at any time. Also, I can can take advantage of free-phone deals whenever they pop up. I'll pay the extra $5/month for regular pre-pay service.

Att is slow af so as tmobile. Get verizon
Tried all in my area, they all suck even Verizon in the same areas cause there the same towers just Verizon has the antennas closer to the top, pick your poison as how much you want to pay, until you e truly tried all, keep trying until you can find one you put up with the price to performance ratio

Never had a complaint with AT&T in my area. Had a work iphone on Verizon for ten years and the network was consistently slower than AT&T for me.

Has anyone with their $300 8gb plan figured out how to successfully switch to this? Maybe if you port out at the end of your contract then port back in, but likely this deal will end by then.
Port your number to Google Voice and get a new number for this deal.
