Not a bad deal. I'm stuck with Verizon at the moment because they are paying $30 per month towards my phone from a trade in deal. Just curious but can post paid phones be used with prepaid services? I.e., do you need to buy a specific type of phone for prepaid? I'm using an iphone 13 pro max 128gb I got through Verizon. Traded in a Galaxy S9 for $800 credit spread out over 24 months so I'm stuck with them until the phone is paid.

At $300 for 360 days, it technically costs $304.17 for the full year. The extra 35 cents a month makes this not slick.

Just kidding.

Wonder if Walmart will release a sweeter version of this plan (with more hoops to jump through) by adding 50-100% more data for the same price, like they occasionally do…

You don't need a special phone for prepaid versus post paid. You only need a phone that is not locked to Verizon, or need to get it unlocked, and it should support GSM to work with AT&T.

Given the same 'bars' level, AT&T Prepaid is consistently faster and less likely to be deprioritized into unusability in my experience.

That's why people pay with gift cards purchased at a discount. Even the always available Target Red Card discount drops this to $285 and avoids any taxes ATT charges when paying directly.

This AT&T plan is better in several ways:
- priority over other mvno
- some (not 100% of postpaid) domestic roaming
- Mexico and Canada roaming
- hotspot
According to the offer details roaming is free but it does say "Pay-per-use talk & text to Mexico & Canada" under the plan. Is the free roaming part of the promotion or has it always been the case? The "Pay-per-use talk & text to Mexico & Canada" sounds confusing. Also will one continue to get free roaming upon renewal after 300 days. Thx

Its a pain in the butt to get the walmart deal. I have been to 3 walmarts with no luck. Finally went with AT&T directly. Walmart is not worth the hassle.

Seems to require a credit card, wonder if one can use a generated, virtual cc number with a spend limit of $1-5, then pay the majority of the balance in gift cards from Target…

I have not read the offer details, but me and my family used to be on these $300/year plans. When we visited Mexico, roaming on Telcel worked seamlessly. You get texts, calls, data, and can call USA numbers. Perhaps what they are saying is that if you want to call Mexican numbers, it's not free. If that is the case, AT&T like usual never ceases to annoy.

Does this include free data roaming in Canada? Is it 4G?

Anyone else can confirm that the old https://www.paygonline.com/ site isn't working anymore?
