Supposedly this one uses hot air to dry it. But if you ask me all of these older model Hoovers (with spin scrub brushes vs the dual scrubs that just perform better…so much so that Hoover has even switched to it in its newest cleaners) are effectively the exact same with minor differences in attachments.

I can tell you that I bought these exclusively for many years but recently got the new dual brushes and it's night and day better. And much easier to keep the machine clean. Those spin scrubs are terrible to clean—especially if you have pets.

How does this compare to "Hoover TurboScrub" from Direct Tools Outlet?

How does this compare to the FH50141? Does this one also suffer from the brushes stop working? Returned it for that reason.

This one also has a rinse option which comes in handy sometimes. Hoover TurboScrub is an older model so there could be an issue with parts

I've had two of these and consider them pretty much disposable units. Each quit spinning after two or three times even after taking care to ensure everything is clean and dry before putting them away. Tried taking them apart to fix them and it's just useless—they seize up. Annoying.

Are you referring to the hoover dual pet plus as being the better version?

Model fh54050 as an example.

I got this from direct tools for 70 bucks but haven't picked it up yet. Is it this any of good?

I've gotten several Hoover's. I bought the deal a few days ago. They are all similar in cleaning power - I would do the $39. It's the exact same thing. I've had four kids, dogs, and six large lizards - I know my rug cleaners 🤣

I paid $160 and very happy with it for several years now, would highly recommend. A must for anyone that needs to clean carpets. The non-elite I got were always broken, never even worked once, either failed to release the solution or failed to suck it up.

I bought this recently at Home Depot for $129 and have used it twice. It's easy to use and with 2 animals, one a long haired dog that sheds a ton, it worked great. Really, my only complaint is the handle is a bit too short for me, but it may be perfect for you. It's not too heavy compared to my last one and the reservoir for the shampoo is nice. Dirty water and clean water tanks are large enough that you can work a while before having to empty and refill.

I've only owned mine for a month, but so far so good. Deals with dog hair really well

I paid almost as much for the cheaper model - and it's pretty worthless.
Picked this one up and will sell the other.

Sorry so late to respond but yes, that new Pet Plus one is killer. I got mine at direct tools also but for $109. Worth 10x that. As someone with kids and pets whose had carpet cleaners for years—I was actually shocked at how well that thing cleaned.
