I prefer solid pc panels vs glass so looks don't matter personally, but it's a great price for those that care about aesthetics or have tight cable fitment requirements.

Not compatible with all GPUs though, check the list or search Amazon reviews

I got one years ago around the time I got my 1080ti. It worked great for about two years then I had a lot of GPU problems. Removed this and the GPU worked fine from just wires. Not sure if it failed after being used a long amount of time. I didn't realize that it had capacitors until just now. Probably one failed. I always thought it was just a pass though connector.

You'd have to verify on your own but most 3000 FEs have the new Nvidia power plug and this would not be compatible

Although this thing has some noise filtering circuitry (just caps I think), I really doubt it's going to make or break an overclock. I noticed that it also balanced the power draw by tying the PCI-e cables in parallel, but not sure how that would matter if the 12V is coming off the same rail in the power supply. I'm no expert though, just commenting in case someone more experienced doesn't reply.

The capacitors for DC filtering are added in parallel (to ground) so it could be that if the cap shorted in the process of going bad. It was probably just a bad connection somewhere though, especially if you didn't see/hear/smell any magic smoke

I briefly used it in a EVGA 3080 XC3. Worked fine. Before I was using it on a 2080 FE, also worked fine.

Edit: just noticed you said FE. FE 3070 uses the 12 pin adapter doesn't it?

*DISCLAIMER* - This is only my experience. I had a 1070ti with this and i was having random runaway power issues where my computer would lock up, all the fans would ramp to max and the only way to fix was to do a hard power off.

Once I stopped using this add on, that problem went away.

It is a very slick accessory and makes cable management a lot easier.

At $4, I bit. I have the EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra and the cables cover the card logo, which is aesthetically really bothersome. This should hopefully fit and resolve that issue.
