In NYC, I'm seeing this monthly price if I choose to upgrade my speed. But I'm going to stick to 300mbps as I've yet to find a reason to get 1 gig. It also seem like Verizon lowered my monthly payment on the 300 down to $25.

I have the 300 mbps also which is more than enough for me. It's $39.99 for me but I do see it is $25 for those with certain Verizon Wireless plans. I assume you also have Verizon wireless account?

$59.99 is tempting. But I pay $89.99 with no contract, and my price hasn't changed in 2 years. When I was on the promo plans, my rate would jump as soon as the 12 month promo period was up.

You can check via perks at work for additional discount. I have 300mpbs FiOS plan & got a discount of $5. So final price is $34.99 for 300 mbps. For gigabit plan I see a discount of $10. Here is the breakup
