Walmart also has $0.25 Pen+Gear notebooks [walmart.com], but these are very YMMV.

The $0.35 notebooks (listed in the original post) have better availability.

Thanks! I feel I should mention that I have a ton of pen + gear #2 wood pencils and they are terrible. I'm sure with some things it won't matter, but I don't recommend buying them.

I would sharpen them and the lead or wood would break. Constantly. With a majority of the pencils.

Why don't they just donate this stuff for a tax write-off at full retail value?
