Announcement:
https://smile.amazon.co m/primeday
Some deals already posted on the page but not sure if it's deals related to the Prime day and will probably be lower if history is any indication.
Yahoo seems to have some previews of items too:
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/b...14104.html
So mark your calendars and hope we get price mistakes like $1000 cameras and lenses for $100 or less. LOL

It even used to be good to catch the amazon warehouse discount and score a severely discounted "like new" thing you might actually have wanted. Unfortunately Amazon warehouse "like new" now means "might not even be the right product in box" and they just mark everything up 15% to give you 20% off.
Example: Last year I was eyeballing a thule hitch bike rack they had on Amazon warehouse. $899 new, $678 "like new"....it was part of the warehouse discount and when the sale started the "like new" price was $832 which after discount brought it to $665.....$13 dollars cheaper than the day before.
Don't fall for it. If you want to participate, shop before hand, add things to your cart and take screenshots, then compare when the sales start and don't impulse buy anything! Of course if you do see a $10,000 camera lens for $99 go ahead, buy it 😉
No wonder there's no more real warehouse deals from SD lol
Agree! 😄
I wonder how many bastards I have sired
The best Prime Day deals have typically been for the Chinese resellers to who offer free products for 5 star reviews...so there's no real way to tell if it's a good product/deal or not.
Bring back the deals where photography equipment was sold for $97...I missed out on a Canon 70-200 L lens that's typically $1,600 for $97.

Good thing I pay half that for student yearly
Prime Day 1: Deals on lawn mower blades, hair growth treatment, and sugar free jelly beans
Prime Day 2018: The site crashes from a server failure. The site was down long enough to cause an estimated $100 Million loss in total sales.
I feel like it's largely an attempt to remove excess inventory and make room in warehouses.
Partially true. Amazon is the largest owner of empty warehouse space in the USA. They use this sale to sell merchandise to generate cash to buy newer inventory.

Isn't that what all sales are about?
