My score ranges from 710 (Fico - Experian?) to 761 (TransUnion), with 743 (Equifax). I don't feel like getting a ding without a payday

When you don't have prime you have essentially identical service to what you get with Walmart, it may arrive next week, it may take three weeks to get to you. But prime always gets there within a couple days, essentially your paying for really expensive two day shipping.
Since you're already paying for that, it's essentially like an annual fee on a credit card, the difference is, if you're someone who buys a lot of stuff on Amazon, you might as well get a cashback rewards program, otherwise if you are using any other card it's going to be like 1% or 2% back max.
But if you're not paying for it, you're more of the Costco type of person, go with a Costco card. This card makes sense if you're a prime member, this card does not work however, if you are not a prime member, Amazon does make rewards cards for non-prime members, in fact you would probably get denied this card if you applied and didn't have prime, but another advantage to having prime, if you do you have prime there's a good chance you will get approved
•There's cards that offer more than 1-2%. You may want to explore the options out there. I get 3% on Amazon purchases from one and 5% from Oct-Dec on another.
•Without Prime it's $25 order total for free shipping, not $35
•Customer service has been great whether I had Prime or not. They do not have separate Advisors just for you 🤣
•Non-Prime is in no way like Walmart (thank goodness!). I get my Amazon orders quickly, though not always 1-2 days. It may depend on whether you have an Amazon day set up, which I do.
•Having Prime has no bearing on getting approved/declined for a credit card.
"Unfortunately, an immediate decision about your application cannot be provided as it requires further review. You will be notified in writing about the status of your application within 30 days."
I was lured by the $200 but refuse to apply because I won't do business with Chase. As a corp they're unethical (research the things they donate to and support) and for customer service they're atrocious!
It appears there's a skeptic that Chase is a bad company and requires proof, although I doubt sharing my experience will change their mind but hopefully my experiences will caution others from doing business with Chase.
i used to bank with Bank One years ago then Chase took them over. The things they did to me were criminal (discrimination, false reporting, and took money from my account to cover a relative's overdrawn balance despite the fact there had never been a connection between our accounts) but at the time I was busy being a mom and working 4 jobs with no time to fight them and no extra money to get legal help. Thankfully, unlike another SDer whose credit was ruined, I immediately cut ties with Chase (including canceling cards issued by them and closing all bank accounts with them) so they could not continue to mess with me.
It was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I need peace of mind / trust when it comes to those who manage my bank accounts and credit cards!

Note in the thread the ones getting approved/declined. The person churning got one, people with high credit scores declined.
