This is very nice and I think it's a good chance to apply. $200 is the maximum sign-up bonus so far for this card.
It has regularly $50-$150 sign-up bonus but $200 is usually offered at only limited times every year.

It's amazing how many people can't read either the bold faced title or the details of the post.

I have prime because my friend added me as a member on his account. Maybe that's why I'm only seeing a $50 offer? Also only shows 3% cash back not 5%. Where is there anything on Amazon about this being a 5% card?

Need eligible Prime membership for $200 bonus offer -- if you don't have Prime or share it then it won't work

Chase Amazon visa card vs Chase Amazon Prime visa card are basically the same cards -- the rewards structure (3% vs 5%) depends on your current Prime membership status

I already have Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card, but it's letting me apply. Is this a different card than the one I have?

Ok well when I click on the link to apply it only says $50 not $200. Amazon customer service doesn't seem to know anything so either this info is wrong or something else is up but there is no mention of $200 on their site. According to the rep I am eligible for the 5%. One more question is it 5% unlimited or up to a certain amount?

Approved immediately. I have not applied for a credit card or anything else except for a mortgage and then refi in the past 5 yrs. I just read that like for mortgages, multiple cc pulls counts as 1 hard pull on your credit record. What other Chase cards have good offers for average credit?

Just call Chase reconsideration (888-270-2127). They probably delineated you because of 5/24. I've read of many people being able to get it via a call in to the reconsider dept.

Depends how much spend you can sustain (and if you travel enough to care about points rather than cash)

But sticking to cash-only lower- spend cards you've got both Chase Freedom Flex and Chase Freedom Unlimited offering $200 cash bonus on $500 spend (plus 3-5% cash back on your normal spend in several categories for a while)

Then you don't have eligible Prime membership

Primary or household seems to be fine -- there was an older "shared" membership which doesn't work

I completely understand that is why I never hold a balance. I can't afford it I don't buy it. I just want the points
Not holding a balance is a novel idea I don't think most people can subscribe to.

Seeing somebody who is close to me who had maxed out each of their credit cards, and only paying the minimum payment each month made me sick. They were paying 3-4 times more in interest than their monthly payment. And they didn't even see why that was an issue. Told them to pay that shit off, use it for maybe streaming subscription services at the very most, and start using their debit card instead.
