That may not be a problem for you, but it is for me and unfotunatley I only found it out after porting my number over on a 3 month plan ($30 from Best Buy last month, so not as good as this deal!)
My advice is virtual card to be safe. Also, unless they recently changed it - your plan activates right away after purchase unless your port in.

Also to Note: Boost Mobile's AT&T deal allows them to have the AT&T 310-410 network which is important as there was an AT&T OTA server update that the server now looks for your AT&T banded phone to be on the 310-410 network to continue to receive updates.
So if you have a AT&T branded phone, pop this Boost AT&T sim into it and as long as it activates successfully wait for 2 minutes after startup and then check for a OTA update and if there is one it will start downloading.
Any AT&T Branded phone on Cricket will no longer receive updates due to Cricket being 310-170.

Hard-capped data was this plan's only weakness outside the horrible website.
What an amazing response to Mint Mobile's recent $15/mo promotion! This is a smoking hot deal!

The website says that both the 5GB and Unlimited (35GB) plans experience slower speeds after the high-speed data allotment, and two different Twitter reps have confirmed we're understanding that correctly, but @BoostMobileCS says that while that's what the website is presently advertising, to disregard it because it's an error - instead, data will stop until the beginning of your next billing period once 5GBs are used.

Except the "unlimited" plan with 35gb of high speed.

They will SIM LOCK your phone meaning it will NOT accept any other SIM
Will not SIM lock your incompatible phone; it just won't work nor activate.
Tried with several browsers with ad blockers disabled.
Pathetic.
