CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Thanks, bitch! Smilie

Was it store bought baklava or homemade? I'm Greek so I can tell you there's a HUGE HUGE difference between the two. Handmade baklava takes sooooo much time, though, but it tastes soooo much better!! (My Grandmother makes it herself every holiday dinner.)

Greek food is my weakness. Happy

Oh, AM, they opened up a new Greek restaurant over here, but I haven't tried it yet. I like the hole in the wall places because their stuff is usually more authentic. This restaurant has more of a "chain" feeling. I'll check it out eventually.

(I still haven't been to the place you suggested since I'm rarely that way.)

We've made friends with a Syrian guy who opened a hole in the wall Mediterranean place. Wow... sooooo good. Not 100% Greek, but awesome nonetheless. And we're friends so it's fun to hang out and chat with him and his wife. The boys love them, too. It's sweet.
