I think the only games that are really going to struggle in this are super graphics intensive games like Cyberpunk and MS Flight Simulator, for multiplayer games and casual games you are going to have an excellent experience, Warframe plays at over 100fps at 1080p high on even a 40w 1650m so it's gonna FLY.

Oh that's awesome to hear! Recently got addicted to Warframe on Series X, so once cross play happens will be a nice option if away from home. Been a pain trying to find a decent budget game laptop as I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to specs. I do know that Pro Days is at end of month, any idea if they tend to have better laptop deals during that?

Haha fair enough, never thought to get a laptop through gamestop and didn't know if they had a place to add something like that or if it's needed. Sounds nice in theory.

For me, having my keyboard flashing in patterns or shifting colors is just distracting. I have an rgb keyboard and I installed the software just to lock it into one color. IMHO having it backlit is important but RGB is kinda pointless.

you can't add it anyway so point is moot.

Oh, I sligly misspoke then lol I definitely wouldn't want it flashing, didn't know that was a thing people liked haha I would just simply like it to be a constant lit color i.e. blue or purple etc

Generally gaming laptops have pitiful battery life. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 1hr is considered good battery life for gaming laptops. You should be able to find a similarly priced non-gaming laptop that will be more than enough for the usual office productivity applications and perhaps mild video editing, and have decent battery life. Unless your wife is going to be always plugged in to an outlet and/or only needs to be mobile for less than 1hr at a time.

You aren't missing anything, Gamestop likely only has this one config in stock, it was probably built well over a year or more ago. You will need another stick of ram for it. About $20-30.
