Incorrect. Just activation starts the 60 day timer, no service needed past the initial.

Wonder if these will be at $150 by Black Friday. I'll keep an eye on this though. My 11 has been the best iPhone I've ever bought, survived all falls and is still fast.

Nope. You pay for the first month with purchase. so for me it was 210 minus cashback. then you activate it and text "unlock" to 611611 to get unlock date confirmation. Then it sits in a drawer. Only need first month.

You are spreading incorrect information. Only requirement is activation, you shouldn't use the SIM in another phone, but once the one month plan expires you can still send and receive texts from 611611. You DO NOT have to purchase any additional airtime for the 60 day unlock to occur.
