Newegg has the Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti GPU for $999 with $90 off coupon code: VGARWGBT22

Please don't hate. I know it's high and the 3080 is $100-200 cheaper but this is the cheapest 3080 Ti I've seen around.

If you absolutely need something better than a 3080, this is it. Otherwise just grab the 12gb 3080 for 800 and call it a day.

Well, it certainly is a good bit under MSRP, but the $700 3080 exists which makes this 1K card not a good deal.

That's assuming you can get your hands on one AND September isn't a paper launch.

We should wait even if it is hard to get a 4XXX card. Prices move on rumor, and will move again on results. If the 4080 is the beast it's rumored to be, current gen prices will plummet even further.

Who will pay $1k for a 3080 Ti if a 4080 is faster for hundreds less? What if even the 4070 is nearly as fast? I'm not saying it will be, but based on the power draw estimates and the lithography node, even that is in the realm of possibility.

Just the mere official announcement of the 4000 series will drop prices. 4000 series doesn't have to be on sale or even obtainable for prices to drop.

It's nice to see things in stock now and all, but MSRP is way too high and you can already get them BELOW MSRP on eBay all day long at the moment.

Remember that only 2 generations ago, the 1080 was under $500.

There's A LOT of room to go down.

Wow $200 under MSRP.

Sign of things to come. Hello recession! Frivolous purchases will be dropping like rocks. Finally.

Chances are you won't get a 4000 series card for the first few months around MSRP. And with crypto prices falling so much it stands that it could go back up by the end of the summer, like it has before, driving up GPU prices again you think ? 🤔

not that I have an opinion. but this is a great price on a card that could drop a little more, vs a card you probably won't see for at least 6 months at a worthwhile price point..
