Thanks, OP. I got one. I have the EOS R but was looking for a much smaller one and this one seems perfect for my needs. I watched reviews of the M50 and M200 and it looks like for me, the only concern was the low fps on the M200 but I am convinced that I probably wouldn't need more than that in most use cases.

I also wish to mention that this purchase comes with a free cameral bag. Also, if you have another canon camera, you can get 10% off if you call the canon loyalty program at 1-866-443-8002. You will need to provide the serial number of a canon camera but you won't be required to turn it in.

Canon refurbs basically look brand new.
Edit: they often come in a generic canon box and not the fancy red and white ones of retail. But the product cases are brand new and pristine. They also include a 12 month warranty. If you call canon and give them a serial number from a previous canon (any canon even stupid old ones) lens or camera they will give you a 10% loyalty discount on any refurbished product.

You can also get a 30% discount on new products with any previous canon serial number. For cameras it must be a camera serial number, lens discounts must have a lens serial number.

I would avoid using this as a general purpose webcam for meetings and stuff. The processor works too hard encoding video over usb and will heat up. It's not worth the hassle. However, it's fantastic for streamers who run clean hdmi from the camera into a capture card. I got one of these for my friend and he broadcasts for 6+ hours no problem.

I already have an M6 Mark 1, but have been wanting to upgrade to the 2. The cheapest I have found the 2 is close to $680 refurbished or $780 new on eBay.

At those prices, I may just end up keeping my original M6 as I also have a Sony A7III.

Lots of reviews say it over heats. the camera will Shut down when it over heats.

I think most of the overheating has to do with video recording and streaming like this one here

However, most reviewers have said that the M200 is not for video recording. The Sony(s) do a better job for just a few dollars more.
