Picked this up a couple years ago. It's a good brush but realize you need to use it only on cold grills.

Nylon brushes aren't as effective though because you can't clean the grill while the grill is hot. The nylon will melt. Nylon brushes does have its use to brush off some carbon build up. However, I have to rely mostly with a wood scraper while the grill is very hot. It'll take most of the gunk out. I use both a nylon brush and the wood scraper to keep my porcelain coated grates clean.

Then twice a year, have a go with a pressure washer after a soak with Easy-Off grill cleaner.

Great brush, i have one of the Char-broil gas2coal grills but i hate the triangle shaped grates it has.. It would be so much easier if i hate a round style or even flat grates.

I used to use one of these but like others have said, can't use it when rhe grill is hot, and that limits its effectiveness. I now use a wood scraper for the hard stuff, and, just as a curious test a year ago I thought hey, wonder if a natural fiber deck brush would work? Turns out it works amazingly.

This is the one I use. I attached an 18 inch broom handle to it. Bristles will eventually start to slowly break off but no biggy, the fibers are natural and safe. Also because of the size of the brush it makes grill clean up much faster.

These work better on stainless steel than cast iron.

As another alternative, there's no better way to clean off a grill than with 🔥🔥🔥. When you finish your cook, let the grill get up to 500F (260C) and burn hot for about 30 minutes. No food, mold, or bacteria will survive that.

Afterwards (even the next day), these cold brush scrapers are just pushing the remaining ash off the grates and your grill is ready to go again.

Do you clean the wood one? Tried one years ago and after a couple uses I went to use it and it was all moldy
