Good deal. I picked this up the other day. I bought the 150 gift card and got the 30 gift card bonus. Then used 10 off military. I ended up paying around 132 for this pack.

Slightly off topic, I have a couple 6.0ah batteries and they are so damn heavy. I'm a contractor and if I'm using a tool throughout the day, I usually prefer lighter batteries in my tools, knowing it's easy to swap batteries if needed. Anybody with real world feedback on the big 8ah battery?

The 5ah batteries are great. I hate the 6ah too. 8ah is going to be bad.

The 8ah is literally the same size as the 6ah and the weight really isn't much difference. It's like the 4ah battery vs 5ah battery (same size) just uses slightly higher capacity battery cells.

I am with you there. Got rid of the 6's and 8's. The 8 is just a beast

I use the 8 ah more than any other battery I own with my Power Detect circ saw, sawzall, trimmer, inflators, work lights, etc. The size and weight is nearly the same as the 6 ah battery. To me, there even is not that much of a difference compared to the 5ah, which is only slightly smaller and lighter. I plan on selling all of my batteries and keeping only 2 ah and 8 ah.

The 8ah are a little bigger physically, but barely noticeable (had 6ah and 8ah, then sold the 6ah ones and standardized on the 8ah). I use them with power detect tools or with lights/fans for longer run times. Tools that don't matter I prefer to use the power stack (lighter and same performance or better than the 5ah, but a 1/3rd run time so I have a decent amount of them).

I was about to call the 8Ah a 'chunky boi' until put my 6Ah and 8Ah on the kitchen scale:

6Ah - 979 grams (manf. 2021)
8Ah - 952 grams (manf. 2020)

The dimensions are physically identical in all other respects. (LxWxH) These are OEM batteries either from battery or tool kits.

I triple-checked all these figures because I would have sworn to you that the 8Ah was larger and heavier.

As a contractor I use the flex volt 6ah in my circ, recip and compound miter. I switched to the 12v impact and drill for lightweight long days and couldn't be happier. I think these mix packs are good for different tools.

If you have the Power Detect tools, the big ones are necessary to get the full power. Everybody needs MORE Power!
In any case... Big boys like Big toys!
Good deal on this pack with the 8AH - I'm in for 1.
