It's not that great of a deal if you consider there are no batteries or track included. Weren't these kits like $400 with 2 batteries and a 55" track?

Haven't seen a deal on this in a while. Chatted with the big orange store to price match. They refused but in the end offered $100 off their price. Which puts it almost $30 less than Amazon and I don't have to give Bezos more money. Might be worth a try.

55" guide rail is also on sale for $90.99 through Amazon. So the saw and one rail would come out to $378.09. I think the same kit with a case for the saw is currently $449. So some money saved here. I personally would love this but I'd want a case for the saw and bag for the rail(s)

At time of checkout the discount had increased to $125. Total price was 254.38 with tax. $234 without. They would have gotten $50+ more if they had just price matched. Strange but I'll take it.

This is the fantastic Makita track saw. Best price ever for it by quite a bit, according to CCC.

Bare tool only.

Not bad if you already have batteries.

Makita is one of the few brands of batteries I don't have. I have a couple Dewalts, a decent amount of Ryobi, tons of Ridgid, and various others in 12v (Milwaukee, Ridgid). I've been looking for a track saw, but unless it comes with batteries, I think I'll have to pass.

Decided to just do it. I've been watching track saw deals for a while and convinced myself the Ryobi might be the best bet when it goes on sale. We have the batteries for both Ryobi and Makita and this deal with the track (Amazon Warehouse for $85 no problems) is slightly above the Ryobi normal price. I have so many projects in mind already!

I have this and I would highly recommend it. It was easy to get it dialed in and I have been very impressed with how accurately and cleanly it cuts. This probably isn't a tool for everyone, but it is great for ripping down large sheets of plywood!

I have not tried using a Festool guide rail with my Makita saw, but from what I understand, you can with some caveats. For example, the anti-tipping features of the two rails are different and you would have to readjust the saw fit when swapping a rail of one brand for the other. On the Makita saw, readjustment is not difficult to do.

Got the TrackSaw + case + two batteries + dual charger + case + a guide for $430 like two years ago. Just throwing it out there.

eBay has 1/2" thick adapters for around $20 that work between any 18 to 20v
