Also using a OnePlus 7 Pro, and I also got the same notification upon downloading Google One for the first time. Automatically runs a check to determine promotional eligibility and then offers the 12 month trial subscription. Pretty sure the relevant factor is the fresh download and first time opening, not the specific device you're using, though it's possible older phones that no longer actively receive support aren't included. Somebody who did not receive the promotion and already had it downloaded should try deleting it from your phone and installing it fresh to see if that will then trigger the promotion for you. Of course, please report your results back to this thread, lol.

It's only $2/month if you forget I suppose, but make sure to cancel your subscription immediately. It'll maintain your benefits until your next billing period (after your 12-month trial). If you don't actively use it much, it seems like the perfect kind of low-cost subscription you wouldn't notice was still processing recurring charges after the trial ends.
