Nice! I have a different model but just upgraded to a model not listed. But I haven't used it yet. I also have the stainless steel container and use it all the time.

I have a Ninja that I just noticed that the pitcher has a crack across the bottom, so I'm just waiting for it to spread and fail. They want $65 to replace it, a brand new everything is about $70 for a similar model at costco. Thinking I'm better served just buying a vitamix once and being done with it. I like the idea of a steel pitcher option, too, especially if using to make/heat soups.

I have had my pro 750 Vitamix for about 7 1/2 years. I picked up a newer model but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I love having a Vitamix over a ninja and others I have had. Like night and day.

Do you have a recommendation of the ones on sale? I'd be mainly using it for smoothies.

It is really a personal preference. Some like simple to use and simple styling. Others want the newer technology. They all do the same blending.

I don't have the immersion blender but I know lots of people who do and they say it's very powerful. They even make frozen desserts for one using the immersion blender.

i talked to the Vitamix rep last weekend at Costo, and asked him when/ if Costco will be selling the 2500 or 3500 there. He stated there are talks in place to do so, maybe in a few months, so I'll wait

Wow…really? Usually they don't sell other models in the store though there are a few they sell during roadshow demos..

If you're looking for one to travel with, cuisinart makes one that splits in two pieces. They have a small food processor attachment that the feature is used for, but if you're looking for something you can pack easily, I think that might be a good option.
