The reviews are all either five star or one star. The majority of the five star reviews say they either received it free or an incentive.

I bought this it's coming tomorrow. I have to pressure wash my entire house this weekend . I will report back how it performs.

Also to be fair we're talking about 250 bucks if it dosent work out I'm not going to be that beat up about it. Although, if it holds up this is a slick deal imho

Anyone know anything about the the engine? Honda or B&S?

Check your local stock in case it's cheaper. Seems lukewarm to me at first glance.

BlackMax only uses B&S. I've never seen their products with Honda engine @ Sammys. Also their quality is at best "will work with constant maintenance". I got the Simpson 3300psi at Sammys a few years back for the same price - Even the Honda Engine on that one clogs up without constant maintenance. But traditional B&S or even Tecumseh Engines are much inferior to Honda from my experience. But these days the difference is waning due to Honda using crappy plastic parts.

I agree with you about "much inferior" related to Tecumeseh.. And I love Honda.. However, I have had extremely good experience with all my Briggs..

Since most of the good reviews & ratings of this pressure washer come from people who were given the machine for a review, it's hard to trust it.

I went with the Generac 7901 (3100 psi 2.4 gpm) pressure washer that's on sale for $299 now on their website [generacpowerproducts.com]. $40 isn't enough to justify the longevity concerns, in my mind.

I just ran mine (which I did pay for) today to clean my sidewalks. It ran great; it has considerably more power than the Craftsman 2500psi it replaced. The engine is a Honda clone similar to a HF Predator, Ducar DH212. Similar power to Simpson washers I have use with engines from 190-212cc.

Got mine last night and put it together which was very easy. I can confirm the engine is a Ducar as the alive poster mentioned. Great video linked btw. I washed my truck with it quickly and it started up easily and pressure was way more intense than my 1700psi green works. I really like that the handle can be flipped for more compact storage too. I'm washing my house with it this weekend so will be a much larger tasks than my truck but all good so far

Follow up to post. I pressure washed my entire house yesterday with this. Took about 4.5 hours and it performed very well. Started up with one easy pull each time. The soap siphon worked well also. Pressure was really good also. It's powerful and with the 0 tip was able to reach the top portions of my house very easy.

This seems like an awful good deal. Most of the time these clone engines outlast the pumps, the wand and hose. If I needed on, I would get this.

There are 3 models with a 212cc engine. 2500 psi ($178), 3100 psi ($229) and 3300 psi ($258). I am guessing that the engine is the same in all models and that the pump must be different. In the future, do you think that you could upgrade the pump? Or is there another part that can be replaced to convert it to a higher psi?

I am thinking that the 2500 and 3100 are the same model but with a different label. For how much I am going to use it, I ordered the 2500 and saved the $80. It just may take me a little longer to finish the tasks. It will be an improvement of the one that just died though. It was a 2000 psi Craftsman that I bought used 14 years ago (and it was old then).

My 2006 snowblower with a Tecumseh engine still runs great 16 years after purchasing it. Only thing I ever replaced was the pull start coil. Runs like a top. My 04 Deere tractor has a B&S that leaks oil like a sieve and is a crap shoot whether it starts or not. My experience has been the complete opposite.
