Might be handy for getting extra gas the next time it goes $2.50 a gallon

I think those days aren't coming back. Even the prerequisite trailer to own this pool is 300K now.

Seeing as payload for recent model half tons is about 2500-3200 lbs and according to the dimensions of this pool you'd be lucky to get 250 gallons in there. 250 gallons @ 8lbs pg = is about 2000lbs. Add 4 adults and you'll probably hit 2500 but won't get to 3000lbs unless you're adding 250lb adults in which case you'll be displacing much of that water. You'll be fine with a half ton (unless you got a Ram 🤣)
.
I am not going to do the math until another cup or three of coffee, but if you fill that thing up with water and 4 average sized Americans, you are going to have more than 2,000lbs.

Oh wait, with today's 4 average size Americans in it, you might only need 5 gallons of water and it will be at the top of the bed... lol

PS: Be thrifty, save your coins and some day you will be able to afford a Ram. Smilie ... We have Ford and Ram only because GM does not make a truck that will run or stay together. Even GM cars have been lackluster with their piston slop that sounded like a diesel when cold. Maybe the new Corvette.

Based on the dimensions the volume of this pool is ~50 cubic feet, which is about 375 gallons. Water weighs 8lbs per gallon so just filling the pool is going to put 3,000 lbs of weight in the bed if the truck before people get in.

Alright I guess I'll be the guy. Yes I have this. I bought it when the whole Covid thing started. Couldn't find a kiddie pool anywhere in site and we were entering summer. Bought this instead and it worked very well. People talking about the payload, I have a 2019 ram 1500, first off you aren't driving anywhere with this thing filled. Second, you don't fill it even close to the top. My truck has been just fine and I used this several times (albeit a very classy affair) in the front yard with a table setup, cooler packed, speaker jamming and some pins coladas. Knock it all you want we enjoyed ourselves
How do you empty it once you are done? Is it pretty flimsy, so just open the tailgate and it flops open?

Yeah it is supported by the truck bed, you can't use this pool without it. So you just open the truck bed and push down on the wall on that side and the water will flood out.

I've seen rednecks use tarps and fill the bed, but an actual inflatable pool is a new one for me. But it doesn't surprise me at all that it's for sale at Walmart
Idk…. They typically use the blue tarps

Haha, great way to kill your suspension. Based on the dimensions listed on the website (unclear if these are the internal or external dimensions), the capacity of this pool is ~1,400 liters. Let's assume you fill it to 80% capacity, that's still over 1,100 liters meaning 1,100kg of water - that's 2,500lbs. The payload capacity of an F-150 is 1,700-2,500lbs depending on the model (without payload package) which means that with just the water you've already exceeded your truck's payload capacity. Oh, and lest we forget, YOU STILL DON'T HAVE ANY PEOPLE IN IT. So, let's add 500lbs of redneck and that truck is going to be groaning under the weight.
I come up much more weight. Check my math, tell me what you think?

According to an Amazon listing, capacity of pool is 750-900 U.S. gallons.
750 x 8.3 lbs. = 6,225 lbs. Right?

Also in my neck of the woods. 500lbs. = 2 rednecks.
These dudes will try to have a family reunion in that pool.
