Great price but so not recommended because of the app that controls it. The latest update made this robot basically useless. Just read the reviews for the ihome clean app on whatever app store you use.

Unfortunately, I'm losing a lot of faith with iHome products. Just recently, iHome turned off the smart home functionality for all their smart plugs making them useless. It worked well for the past 4 years but now it's simply paper weights.

Huh, the latest update has been fantastic both ours. I will say that I did have to reset and re-add one of them to the app, but it picked up right where it left of with settings, map, and no-go zones.

Have this exact one cleaning as we speak. Highly recommend.

The app update has made it much better and more user friendly, though I did need to reset zones.

Only downside is no Alexa/Google integration to easily say "Alexa, clean the family room." That being said, I just setup different areas on schedules or use the iHome app.

We've had one of these for about a year. It hasn't been perfect, but overall we like it. We don't use the mopping feature much because you have set it up each time. The self-emptying feature is nice. The app has changed a few times and although it isn't as easy to use as it could be, it isn't too hard to figure out. Totally worth it at this price.

Do you use the mop function as well? How does it work on hardwood floors? This will be the 3rd vac I bought (returning the other two because of upgrading), and curious is the mop function is dependable. Also any cheap options for pads?
I do not use the mop function so I cannot answer that one. Personally if I wanted a robot mop I would be getting something better that has agitation.

Do you actually have the unit like I do, or are you just reading specs off?

I'm telling you the voice integration does not work well, it at all.
The voice integration as far as I can tell only allows you to tell it to turn on, which will clean the whole house, or turn off, which stops it in place. Pretty pointless stuff.

I had the s4 max and it's about the same. Voice control is much better on roborock, basically doesn't exist on ihome. But auto empty at this price makes it a better deal imo.

Went ahead and picked one up, got a crappy one on Prime Day last year, was garbage. We'll see how this one goes.

Shouldn't get canceled, this is a pretty regular sale price for this item and typically always hovers at 230-240 as a normal price. It's been sitting at 190 for over a week but everyone has been clamoring over the wyze deal and ignoring this one.

This or the wyze robot vacuum?
Same question. This or the Wyze that has been $165 for a couple of weeks? This one auto-empties and the Wyze doesn't? How are their respective apps and how well do each of them clean?

Can't believe it's down to 189... I picked one up at 269 last year and it's still going strong. It's not perfect but gets the job done (have not used mopping). At this price it's a steal

Picked one up and added a 3-year protection plan for 24 bucks. I figured that was a deal and I know these things break down all the time. Thanks OP. I was looking for a mapping vacuum with self-emptying features and this one fit the bill.

Looked up the reviews from Vacuum Wars

https://youtu.be/VWNZTEKByBw

https://youtu.be/aV8CjF2pWbk

My interpretation is that the wyze is a better overall vacuum (better suction, debris handling, and lower noise), but the ihome is still a capable vacuum and has the extra benefits of auto empty and mopping.

Based on user feedback, both have their hiccups: ihome app is apparently troublesome and wyze seems to have possibility of leaving tire marks on your floors.

From there it might be decided more by your personal needs/wants.

Agree 100%. I bought one last year for $300 from Walmart and it has been going strong. The latest app update made it more prettier and a bit more user-friendly. I love the LIDAR navigation. The vacuum rarely gets lost in and out of its base.

If your home is mainly carpet, stay away from this. The base does terrible on carpet surface and the robot struggles to dock unless you have a flat surface wide enough for both the base and robot.

Also wanted to confirm this does have Alexa integration but it's pretty limited.
