Not sure saving $35 on a cell phone is worth giving up all the protections my credit card gives on purchases. That's the main downside to buying things with the gift cards.

Maybe they updated the terms, or perhaps it varies for different accounts? Even the promo code is different. Below is what I see. The (2) is what concerns me.

Mine shows what the op posted. For the record I have purchased gift cards before. I'm going to guess you have not? And yes the limit of ~220k redemption sounds like it might go quickly.
