No...look at the UK size cross reference. FYI, and 8.5 men's is a 42 UK, which equates to an 10.5 in womens.

Edit: took well over an hour, but I got it.
Look under sandals, I use the JPN and an 8 men US come to 26 cm and it's correspond to 9 men. Or if you do 9 men US, it comes out to 10 women US.
