I can't remember when this wasn't the case. The Millenium Falcon set is over 20 years old. If you think legos are the $20 toys you see at Target or Walmart then you don't know anything about Legos.
I've ordered several sets, the Lambo, Bugatti, tree house, Disney castle, land Rover, ecto-1... All have been delivered by DHL and were pristine.
That being said, I've read dozens of horror stories on here.

Saying that while adding an s to LEGO is ironic.
Also, no MF UCS set is 20 years old, but you might be referring to LEGO set 10179 (5197 pieces), which retailed for $499 in 2007. This sale is for LEGO set 75192 (7541 pieces), retail $799 since 2017.

I didn't choose my words carefully, I know this is a newer MF set and there have been several. The first MF set was a much smaller one and cost about $100 in 2000. It was sub-1000 pieces.

Lego didn't increase in price much since they started, but with the recent cost of material and such going up they are increasing prices around August, this would be a first major price increase
Is Zavvy any good now? I haven't heard great things in the past...
I've bought from them 5 or 6 times, all big sets from Lego Star Wars and aharry Potter and never had an issue. They ship better than Walmart and Target.
Can you give an example? Also, do the sets come boxed in another box so the Lego packaging isn't damaged?
I got the Ecto1 set awhile back and the Lego box was smashed up pretty bad, but the outside shipping box was fine and it was packaged well, so it was fairly obvious they shipped it like that. I just build the sets and put them back in the box, I don't display them, so at some point I run out of space and want to sell them to recoup some of what I spent... The destroyed box will cause me more of a loss than I gained with the discount so it really wasn't worth it. That and their customer service is TERRIBLE. I had to file a PayPal claim to get them to even respond. They straight up ignored my emails till I filed a claim, then gave me a UK return address to make it as expensive and annoying as possible to return it. I just ate the loss and didn't order from them ever again... Ive also heard of them taking months or weeks to ship... but as some people have said they have ordered many sets with zero problems. So it's kind of a buy at your own risk situation. If you don't care about the box, or customer service, then the discount may be worth it... and maybe they've gotten better since I ordered. I refuse to buy from there ever again so they could have improved.

And for that reason, I'm out.

Lego has always been expensive for what it is... but theyre still the most popular toy company for a reason.
Hopefully they get your order right, otherwise you'll have to go on a social media vendetta in order to get their customer service to do anything…
