No. Last year m1 MacBook Air was $750. If not urgent, I'd keep waiting until M2 air comes out. Will probably see better deals

It's never been $700.

It was $749 (via student discount) at Best Buy. Only once, one year ago, and for 36 hours.

Bought this for $699 last year when they had $150 off plus the $100 off $500 coupon. Also bought a MBP 13, 8/512 for $1100. Wish they would bring back the coupon again.
is that from Costco?

Does Costco PM Microcenter if they're right next to each other?
Costco does not price match other retailers, period.

$200 off the list price and it's not even released yet? That will require some patience.

In just over a week you can get next gen m2, mag safe, better display with thinner bezels, 1080p camera, more free ports, new design, faster ssd, longer battery life, all for a few hundred more. It should last you 7 years, at least

I've been buying SSDs for my operating systems since 2008 when I got an 80GB Intel X25-M for $200+. Only in the past few years have I started having >8GB of RAM.

In the past 14 years, I've never had an SSD "wear out".
Good for you. There have been widespread reports of low RAM/storage M1 Macs with SSD issues due to it.

Only Apple can pull this off deal like this with 33 thumb up... if any window OS laptop with 8GB RAM and 256GB drive selling for anything over $500 people it will have 33 thumb down LOL

I own an M1 8GB MacBook Air, a M1 Mac Studio, M1 MacBook Pro 16" and M1 MacBook Pro 14" and I had an M1 8GB Mac mini for 1.5 years. Which of your M1 Macs have had SSD issues? I guess I'm doubly lucky?

If you pay with Costco visa , it's 4 years total
Is this still true ?
I know 2 years warranty is included by just buying from costco but not sure about the 2 additional years.

I don't see 4 years or additional years listed on either of these sites.

highly unlikely, especially since the M1 will still retail for $999

I got this about a month or so ago from Best Buy and they price matched micro center who had it for 829.99 at the time. I went with Best Buy because I had about 1800.00 in Amazon gift cards and you can use Amazon gift cards to buy best gift cards. I love my MacBook Air. It so far has done everything I have asked it and more and I know it has a lot more to give. The m2 is not going to be worth the price difference.
