No. Last year m1 MacBook Air was $750. If not urgent, I'd keep waiting until M2 air comes out. Will probably see better deals

It's never been $700.

It was $749 (via student discount) at Best Buy. Only once, one year ago, and for 36 hours.

Don't buy this if your laptop still works fine.

Paid $900 last year from Amazon. I thoroughly dislike all products apple, and truly felt they were hype. This one meets that hype. I purchased it to do coding on the side. Love. This. Thing. I use it for day-to-day browsing, it works great. Fast, phenomenal performance, effective for my main job (nursing), and extremely effective for coding. From someone who also owns a PC and is Android forever; this thing is a great laptop. That being said, storage is probably the only downside. Use cloud whenever you can to avoid that becoming a problem. It hasn't become one for me as all my work docs are saved to the cloud.

Just got one used that still has 7 months left on warranty. Found it for $650 with carrying case and Magic Mouse. This thing definitely flies and lives up to the hype so far. I haven't had any trouble with the 8GB RAM for normal usage. Have it hooked up to a hub with 34 inch UltraWide.

America is such a scam. Everything seems a good deal until you get to the checkout.

Purchased one for $800 last November. bonus with Costco is getting the 2 yrs warranty instead of 1. If you need a laptop this is one of the best laptops on the market for the price.

Buy the laptop at Costco, and if you feel the need for AppleCare, use the gift cards to buy directly from Apple.

FWIW, my comment in an earlier MacBook Air thread:

'Low RAM' is a completely made-up problem for a laptop in this category. 8GB RAM is more than enough for any non-professional.

Max Tech did an in-depth comparison of the M1 MacBook Air with 8GB and 16GB of RAM www.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dh487I_5xOZU. There was little to no difference until he started maxing out the machine with Pro apps, and even then the difference wasn't significant.

New to MacBook shopping. Are there ever deals on the "base" model Air/Pro with 16GB RAM from third parties? Seems like I only ever see the "base base" model with 8GB RAM.
