Not sure how they can think that McAfee 12-month subscription is a feature.

I'm typing this on the Ryzen 5 5625U version of this (https://slickdeals.net/f/15831811-dell-inspiron-7425-2-in-1-14-in-16-10-display-ryzen-5-5625u-8gb-upgradable-512gb-ssd-f-s-517-43). I would wait to see if that comes back during the July 4 sale. Other than the processor (still more than powerful enough for 99% of users) and RAM (8GB but with one slot free, adding 8GB was easy and cost $30), it's the same computer. It's about a $150 difference after the RAM upgrade, and I think that's too much to pay for two extra cores that will rarely make a difference.

The selection of computers with cellular capability is very small, and because it's a niche market it's typically very expensive. You're much better off using your phone or getting a dedicated hotspot.

Screen doesn't sound too good. Also wondering if the touchpad has been fixed or drive the new owner crazy.

From what I've read, about 8 hours if you don't have the display on full brightness and not gaming.

Shows as $699.99 after coupon for me; is there a way to get it at OP's price?

Ignore - my mistake.

I'm on exactly same boat.
I don't have any other choice.
Remember that Dell charges when they ship so you only have fewer choices.

I'm a B2B sales guy. I bounce around in and out of shops/accounts all day. Sometimes I'm using the laptop/tablet in the shop, sometimes parked in my car. On off on off on off on off all day long. Quite simply, it's a royal PITA to have to pull out the phone, turn on hotspot, use it, remember to turn off hotspot, 12-15 times a day, every single day, for work. My counterpart uses an iPad Pro with cellular and quite simply, it's flipping amazing for what we do. I'm just not an apple guy and we use some programs that don't work 100% on the iPad, but work flawlessly on Windows. Hell, even Excel works better on Windows.

I have been looking at the Surface Pro business edition, but to get it outfitted with even mid-level specs, I'm easily at $1500+$150 for keyboard/cover.
