There is no such thing as a new "high powered electric" power washer for "$100-$150."
Besides the cast iron sleeved Honda GX 200 [honda-engines-eu.com] engine (a little less than 6hp), where this Ryobi washer is unique is it's adjustable throttle for more or less pressure. Most are full on or full off and dependent on the various tips for more or less pressure applied. Add the auto decompression, it is easier for some people to start... Grandma could pull the rope start on this one. And yes, at 3600 psi, this will clean your concrete drive with or without the optional rotating head. They had the better wheel model attachment for flat surfaces, but think it sold out.
Most gas power washers have throwaway engines unless you want to bore out the cylinder. The cast iron sleeve in this one can be replaced and use standard pistons, rings, etc. Someplace [pure-gas.org] in any decent size town, they sell ethanol free gas... use it, or at least use it at the end of the season for storage. It is only about 50 cents more per gallon with a higher octane (91) and worth every penny over water absorbing ethanol for small 2 and 4 cycle engines.
TU for the great price.

I was clearly not blaming my dad for anything. I was explaining why I might not have knowledge of things that are probably fairly rudimentary to some people in this thread, and which can be sort of humiliating to ask about. My dad would be the first to admit he knows nothing... He brings it up quite often because his brother (my uncle) is the complete opposite and built his own house from scratch.
All this to say I am trying to self educate and teach myself things that I was not taught at a young age. That is not "blaming," it's providing context so that nobody laughs and mocks me.
Some people really are just nasty and judgmental no matter what, though...
That being said...In for 1. Lol
I primarily use it for washing my car, it can't reach my siding on the 3rd floor of the house. Would love a pressure washer with that much power but probably not worth the investment or storage space for something with that much oomph.

They dont sell non ethenol gas anywhere near me accept for true fuel at home depot or other hardware stores $24 for slightly over a gallon.
I did not know anything about ethenol in gas until just recently and i thought this fuel was not worth the price and possibly a gimmick.
My grandmothers has 3 acres of land we had weed eaters 1 lawn mower and a chainsaw.
I am not joking by june 3rd every single one started loosing compression and died out at first i thought My uncle was mixing the fuel/oil incorrectly i bought two more weed eaters and did not let him touch them they both did the same thing after using them one time.
i read up on the symptoms and everything pointed to ethenol.
I did not think ethenol could kill these 2 cycle engines so fast
I purchased two more weed eaters and two more chain saws they only get true fuel 50:1 and i have had no problems with any of them.
This gas that they sell with ethenol will kill your tools 4 cycle and 2 cycle but especially 2 cycle dont think twice about purchasing non ethenol gas even at $24 a gallon its still cheaper than loosing over $1000 in tools after one use.
Spread the word DO NOT USE GAS WITH ETHENOL IN IT IN YOUR 2 CYCLE ENGINES

It has been around for years that ethanol is a political and profiteering gimmick. Originally, under the Bush Jr administration, the taxpayer was supplementing ethanol at $1/gallon and later, as those same people bought up ethanol production from Brazil that uses sugar cane, the profits rolled in at the expense of every older 4 and 2 cycle... that siht ate gas line hoses and aluminum carburetors.
On the other hand, with the ethanol mandate, it raised the price of corn that is reflected in meat, eggs, milk, etc. for everyone, but with raising the price of corn, it replaced some of the farm subsidies (welfare) that the taxpayer also pays. There is nothing green about ethanol that is moonshine, as it requires fossil fuels to make it and the worst part is that at the pump, it has less energy than gasoline from oil. For every percent of ethanol added to gasoline, you lose that same percentage in performance and mileage. How is that saving anything?
What you do get with 2nd tier gasoline supply is poor gasoline with less octane that the ethanol raises so it can be burned and lower mileage. And then there is the water issue...
This administration has an agenda... and in line with prior. We have destroyed every major oil producing country [youtube.com] (#1 might surprise some) but Saudi Arabia that now owns 2 major US refiners that are exported and sanctioned Russian supplies after we overthrew Ukraine in 2014.... while then removing the the long standing non-export mandate of refined fuels that has created the shortage in this country by exporting to Europe at a much greater profit. And yet, we still import Russian oil supplies from India that buys it wholesale... lol ...
Meanwhile, soft woods dropped 10% and this administration raised the tariffs 10%.... lol... you have to laugh, or be totally pizzed.

Ran it for about an hour today without issue. It is very powerful and smooth running. I love the throttling feature which lets you idle it down as needed. It smoked like crazy for a few minutes on startup, but that's to be expected.
A few things I am not a fan of... 1) the holder for the nozzles does not hold them well. The vibration from the unit running causes them to pop out and fall to the ground. I'm more than likely going to order a 6-in-1 nozzle, but you still need to keep an eye on the nozzles so they don't disappear. Happened twice in an hour and I had to dig in the grass to locate them. 2) neither the nozzles nor the nozzle holder are labeled. I realize they are color coded, but it would be nice to have them labeled on the holder so I don't have to guess which is which.
In all, this is a sound purchase if you grabbed one!
