Specs look great! One question, are those not thunderbolt ports? Or are they and we don't need to put that in descriptions anymore? I'm not sure exactly what makes a thunderbolt port different from a usbc with power delivery and all the other options.
We didn't mention it because they're not thunderbolt ports.

I looked on their site, but didn't see a battery runtime, just a size. With integrated graphics, it should be good, right? Also, can it be charged via USB-C? I have a 6+ pound (plus a couple of more for the charger) P52 that only lasted 3-4 hours when the battery was fresh. I really could use a lighter laptop with a longer battery life.

All Laptop manufacturers normally give the capacity of the battery because Runtime depends upon the hardware and most importantly, usage by the user. But to answer your question, yes, yu'll be getting far better battery life than P52, mainly for having a far energy efficient Ryen 6nm+ CPU and no dedicated graphics.
2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (data transfer, Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4)
Hope you are aware what does Power Delivery means.

Currently none of these Ultrabooks and even most of the gaming laptops don't come with 2.5" Bay for HDD. This laptop has a single M.2 2280 Gen 4 Slot which is currently occupied by the existing SSD.

Any idea why Lenovo is dropping the UsB4/TB3 from the AMD lineup? The initially announced PSREF and specs had it. The Z series also has it. It's a pity for this support to be absent from top of the line machines in 2022

No AMD cpu models has ever had Thunderbolt ports. It's an Intel only feature.

Could be they couldn't source USB4 parts due to all the chip shortages. You won't find TB on an AMD laptop. Regardless, USB 3.2 is going to meet the needs of all but a very few.

Reserved for Z16/Z13/T14s gen3 only, so the "premium" devices. Can't egpu on the "non-premium" devices. Might skip this year's upgrade and wait for next year's if they're going to pull this shit, or switch to HP EliteBooks - we'll see on pricing. Bu this deal is /not/ slick because they gimped these laptops.

Even the T14 (non-s model) gen3 doesn't have usb4. They want to make everyone pay the premium for the T14s. Scummy.

It used to be couple of years back but Intel has made it available to USB Consortium and now anybody meeting the security need for Thunderbolt protocol can utilise it. USB4 is nothing but the generalized implementation of Thunderbolt 3. You need to update your knowledge base. Hasn't it occur to you how M1 Mac systems are having Thunderbolt 4 Support despite using ARM Based soc?

You think you know but what you know is couple of years old information. All Zen 3+ cpu can implement thunderbolt or USB4. In desktop market, there're plenty of AM4 motherboard with Zen 2 and Zen 3 having Thunderbolt 3. Google it.
