The Walmart 3M 8511 10 for $3.49 is a much better deal, and you can breathe a lot easier with those too, no point in trying to protect others if everyone else is walking around with no mask on anyway

Beware the expiration date. We had gotten some a few months ago, expire in July. At least one recent review states expiration is 8/22.

This. It sucks that their magic wears off so soon and then you are left with a mask that doesn't protect you or others. Total waste of money.

Third party seller. I'd be careful when buying masks due to counterfeits. Walmart 3M deal seems better

It is most likely the elastic band which looses its elasticity after a period of time, if exposed to elements. Not sure what else might affect its expiration?
