Zero comments, only 5 "thumbs up", but somehow this is a "popular deal"?
Must be because "staff" posted it. It doesn't look like a bad deal, but shipping reviews are all terrible. Sounds like they arrive beat up / damaged more often than not.
Good deal but be weary of wal mart assembly, i had some work by them and the guy who showed up was literally telling me they dont really check anyone's background who is hired to assemble and go into people's homes! Its a third party company outsourced from india and if you have a pulse you can work and goto someone's house! No criminal background ever checked!
You want to avoid non-slate tables because they just won't last long. Moisture obviously will swell the MDF surface, but also if you jump a ball or masse' you will dent the playing surface and it's essentially ruined.
Tons and tons of pool tables for sale on FB marketplace. People don't want them and they are a hassle to get rid of. Issue buying used is breaking them down and moving them, But also on FB marketplace you can find people that will do that for you. In the end, you are getting a slate pool table for likely less money and saving this junk particle board pool table from eventually ending up in a land fill (if that concerns you).
Its $400. If it doesn't arrived damaged, it's worth $400 if you arent a serious player. Just having a fewe pool table moved and leveled will cost that much, ND that's if you get it for free.
I grew up with an MDF table. It is not competition. Do not get them wet, but you can still have a lot of fun on them.
Now that I'm an adult I have a full 1" slate solid hardwood table many multiples more expensive than this. I adore my pool table. Would I have the table advertised here? No. Would I buy the Walmart table for kids for a playroom? Absolutely yes.
As long as your expectations are right, this looks like a nice, family fun room table at a very approachable price point. Let's leave the tables that cost 20X as much out of the conversation.
It is true, you can buy an awesome slate table on Craigslist all day long from people that are moving or redecorating. For hundreds of dollars, sometimes for free, depending on the table. I did.
Here is the rub. The slate (even though in 2 or 3 pieces) is unbelievably heavy. I had to hire a mover to help me. Second, the table will need to be assembled, leveled and re-felted once it is in your home. Part of the leveling process involves making the joints in the slate seamless by melting wax onto the joints and scraping them down. The assembly and leveling is something you can do yourself if you're patient and somewhat mechanically inclined. The felting, on the other hand, is a real art. I tried to do it myself but ended up calling in a pro.
I should have had a shop move, assemble / level and felt the table for me. It would have cost $700-$1,000 if memory serves. I'm in the northeast though.
Glad I have a real table. Hope this helps someone.

I think the conversation of 20X isn't the one happening. I agree that if you want something for the kids, that if they tear it up or stop playing with it (most likely) it's no big loss.
But, this is a disposable pool table, and spending just 3X the amount will get you something that will last much, much longer and actually look like something nice, instead of what this is.

You realize that anyone you have come into your home for manual labor type work probably hasn't had their criminal background checked? There is a reason pre-employment drug tests and criminal background checks are a thing of the past. A work force is needed.
I sold pool tables for a while, AVOID anything that is not slate. Pool tables are just one of those things worth the couple extra bucks to get the name brand models.

100% true. You should only buy slate tables because it won't warp.
This table sounds like total junk.
