Good price. Much better than previous makita offerings in oscillating multitools. Notable pro/con is this is starlock system (including Plus and Max), which means very good quality and easy to attach accessories/blades, but more expensive and fewer options as they are sold by brands such as Bosch, makita, Fein, Diablo. Despite starlock system, it doesn't just snap on like other tools with Starlock, there is a post/lever system. It is still easy enough and other cordless tools don't do all 3 starlock options, which allows for longer blade options (due to rigidity) than standard starlock.

Vibration control is among the best and the tool is more ergonomic than its appearance suggests. Bulky head seems to allow the great vibration control and quieter performance and doesn't get in the way despite its appearance.

An adapter is available to let you use generic blades with this tool instead of the Starlock. Not cheap, but decent discount if bought in quantity. I'm looking for at least one more person interested to get the cost down from €45 + shipping to €36 with free shipping. Then I can order 3+ and ship them at cost to whoever else wants in. 🙂

The Dewalt multi tool is not really the best tool from all the reviews I've seen. It's sort of the ugly stepchild of the Dewalt line.

I would say it's widely regarded as one of their best tools.

? Where are you getting this? The tool did quite well on the Project farm comparison.

I've had it for two years, and it's been great.

Edit: I wouldn't argue this one wouldn't be better, however, it's also quite a hefty high price difference.

I only know what my contractor has told me about his but he says it's his favorite and most used tool and he obviously uses his tools a ton. I'd recommend it just based on that.

I want to use one first, mine is bulky and a little awkward. It's the only Dewalt tool I wish Makita was more like.
