An electric smoker will give a smoke ring, too. It's caused by a chemical reaction.

The model number is slightly different. This one has an M and the DSG one doesn't. Maybe that M is for the shelf cause the DSG one doesn't appear to have that? Someone after than me can chime in.(edit: looks like someone did already)

So maybe a bit more for the warranty and then you buy the shelf. Not sure which would be the best option.
