I have this for my Labrador. Does it slow him down over using a conventional bowl? Yes. But the slowing is certainly subjective. He can still clear a two cup feeding in under a minute maybe a minute and a half at best. But it's better than torturing him with one of those interactive feeders he has to nudge all around the house to get his meal out. The guy just wants to eat.
Bought both of these, and they both work, but. our dog can empty one in a minute.
That's probably 30 seconds longer than if he ate from a regular bowl. And he has to think a little while eating, he needs to orient his head to get the food, and there is some value in that.
I got this a couple weeks ago from a previous SD post. On the 3rd day, my German Shepard figured out how to flip this thing over and dump all the food out. I should make a video of it. As soon as I put it down on the floor, she puts her paw on the edge and with one swoop, flips it over and pushes it off the food with her nose while gobbling away. lol
Friend has one of these for their chiweenie. Dog was always throwing up after wolfing down her food, since using this bowl it hasn't happened. Recommend.

I would be motivated to get a larger piece of plywood and design a rail to slide this into. Good luck flipping that!
These were great for our little dogs for a while. We noticed that one dog was still trying to eat so quickly he ended up knocking a tooth out and leaving it in the bowl for us to find later. Sooo we stopped using them. YMMV
