if we buy the tv using a friend's costco account, how does the warranty work? if the tv has issues, he'd have to reach out to costco? Or can i still go and return/exchange the tv even though i don't have a membership?

Your friend would need to handle the return for you.

Very tempting, was going to get it at $999, then decided just to save for a OLED, but now at $899.....I have a PS5 and watch alot of Netflix, is OLED worth the extra $$$??
Yes, big difference in OLED. I'd get the OLED.

Some terrible ass advice on here
go to rtings and do some reading

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10

here's a comparison between the x90j vs lg c1. Feel free to compare the x90j vs a80j if you wish to stick to sony. I feel Sony is more accurate out of the box.

These guys who tell you to jump into OLED at 700 dollars more probably live in their parents dark damp ass basement w/ nothing but an xbox live subscription to pay for.. There's lots of things to take into consideration when jumping into OLED

Depends - you're not getting a name brand OLED @ 65" for 900$. TCL/Hisense is your best bet at a reasonable price

I bought the 75" X90CH last year and it's too big for my living room, is it still worth anything close to what I paid for it?
yes.. The X90CJ would be an upgrade from he x90CH mainly because of the XR processor vs the older x1 processor.

How did mom and dad get into this? You went full psycho in 0-60…

I believe gr$$nto$ has/had the 65" C1 for $137x or so, shipping + tax included. So that's more like $400 difference.

I'm still trying to decide between the X90J and A80J. I want the OLED but not sure if it will perform best in my family room. It will be on a corner stand next to a large picture window with curtains. Our kitchen is behind the room and the lights are on most the time. Currently have an old LG plasma which is not bright and can be hard to see dark scenes during the day. No gaming, just streaming and watching football.

If the room is bright, then Go with x90j otherwise A80j

The counterpoint worth considering here is whether burn-in is a possibility. It definitely is in my house, which is why OLED is a non-starter for us.

The counterpoint here is whether the buyer faces burn-in issues. The way we use our TVs, burn-in is a massive risk, which makes OLED a non-starter for us.

We actually bought this size/model Bravia from Amazon recently when it was $999. It's a good set and highly regarded by rtings. They list it as their best mid-range choice at the moment or at least did when we bought.
