Seems like a decent price for 3080 prebuilt.

I bought this last year to mine with as non LHR. You will have to mod the entire case. I added 6 Corsair ml120 pro fans inside, and you will need to add thermal paste to GPU or it will throttle at 110 Celsius… other than that. It's a good pc.

Anyone know how the liquid cooling is with this PC?
Saw in one of the reviews that it was a 120 mm rad mounted to the back of the case.

Even if you give 200 for case and psu it is still worth it as all the parts will be off the shelf and should generally of higher compatibility and quality.

Solid price for a prebuilt. I've had 3 previous alienwares with high end graphics cards. They are heat machines for sure, but performance has been great. Complaints about thermal and upgrades are overblown. I've upgraded graphics card and psu in my Alienwares without issue. If you're buying a prebuilt, it's likely because you don't want to have to build one yourself and in that case, this is a solid deal.

That's going to be a shitty case and PSU for $100 total. You also left out price for Windows OS, which can be as cheap as $20, but still something to be accounted for.

Bad price, it used to sell from Dell for $1400 with cashbacks and before GPU price collapse.
Right now you can get either 3080 12G for $770 or 3080 10G FE for $630.
Not to mention 5800x is around $300, decent b550 and x570 mobo can get for $140ish.

With current GPU market, it should be around $1200 to even call a deal, not alone whooping $1700

Psu, ram and SSD are decent in this build, cooling is alright besides the bad case. Add that to your price calculation. Far from a bad deal. "You can build it cheaper" yes. But not by that much. Solid deal for someone like me who wants to plug and play.

https://youtu.be/UnvxSkqJ8ic Yeah overblown. These aurora prebuilt are the worst of the worst. Heat machine means premature component failures. GN has looked at hundreds of prebuilts and this is the worst one, yes not this exact model, but auroras are trash.

You might be lucky and got an non-aurora alienware. The Aurora Alienware uses propriety MB and PSU that has non-ATX standard connection design, so that you won't be able to upgrade PSU on your own. If you don't mind been thermally throttled or in your workflow you don't feel the throttling, that means you probably don't need the 5800 or 3080 and you can save money with a lower spec PC.
There are other much better prebuild options.
