Also please not that MOBO, and PSU are proprietary and can't be put in other cases.
Always when you get a prebuild (or sometimes just anything that you want most performance from) check google or reddit or youtube for mods, they usually make a huge difference, stupid dell uses the cheapest thermal paste there is, and doesn't even paste it well. The fans are also loud when i put it above 75% but i wear noise cancelling headphones. I might have change the AIO for the CPU but that hasn't been an issue either. Again i am not tech savy, never built a pc before (i know i should but i didnt have the time and motivation yet abd score good on prebuilt deals), and thus was my first desktop after about 15 years of laptoping.
Anyways, enough rambling, just can't wait to see the 4090 prebuilts come out later this year
If you're budget conscious you really should avoid this machine you're going to have to replace altogether in favor of something you can upgrade later on, sell your old parts, and defray the cost. I bought my first and last prebuilt due to parts and when I wanted to replace the GPU/PSU it was a mess of a situation.
thank you
:-)
Bad air flow, cpu down clocking etc. Not saying this one will be as well but the case definitely as no air flow .

I have an alienware with same specs but non TI and it has it over clocked and running cool with the aio. Did you try repasting thermal compound on the processor? I put artic silver or mx something…. I think the 1080ti is also exhausting some heat inside the case too.
Is the R13 liquid cooling better than the R10?

100% Agree with Cowboyjlove. Unfortunately, the Alienware Aurora R10 Chassis are terribly built for thermal management. This means the CPU and GPU will throttle because the case gets too hot. You're going to end up with 80% of the performance of these parts because Dell/Alienware didn't bother to provide proper airflow. I would watch the GamersNexus Youtube video which you can find via the link Cowboyjlove provided.
I have nothing against Pre-builds, they can be a great option for folks who want warranties, easy returns and a fully assembled PC out of the box. In this case however, I would recommend against buying the Alienware. Prices will continue to go down and you are better off getting a similarly specced build from Lenovo or any other PC maker frankly.
I have nothing against Alienware either. This is just a badly designed case with weird proprietary parts that will make swapping components or even canniballizing the parts very difficult.
Not a fanboy and don't have a grudge. Take it from a PC building enthusiast, there are much better options at similar prices out there.
