OK let me try to explain again:

You had PS Plus that was converted to PS Plus "Essential" under the new PS Plus Subscription 3 Tiers system. You can add 12 months of PS Plus Essential for $45 from the link above (instead of $59).

Now Sony is letting you upgrade your PS Plus "Essential" subscription to "Extra" or "Premium" tier for a $100/$150 flat fee (which otherwise would cost you $40/$60 extra a year) no matter how many years of "Essential" subscription you have left . So stack as many years of PS Plus "Essential" as you can and the cheaper it will be to get the "Extra" or "Premium" Tiers (the break even point is at around 2 years, anything after that makes the tier upgrade cheaper and cheaper)

You can stack membership for any amount of years (not sure if there is a limit). Instead of paying $100+ per year with the new subscription model you can just pay 45 per year and then convert the membership with $100. Example you buy 10 years at $45 for $450 and upgrade for $100 totals $550. If you pay $100 at original price you saved $450

Had to use 3 different accounts to get 3 purchase of x2
Finished all my upgrades now I'm good until 10/2028 with premium.
Spent around $420 so about 70/year each.

Same. I got PS+ when I got my PS5 but decided not to renew PS+ since the monthly games were very hit or miss (usually add to library and never play).

This "deal" is great if you want to get PS+ at a discount. But forking over $500+ for several years of a service that you don't know how great or bad it's going to be is not a slick deal.

Ended up buying 2 at Eneba and 2 at CDKeys then upgrading. Had 9 months left. Total came out to average of 84 a year. Not bad. Good til March 2027 LMAO

There are no specific 'essential' voucher codes on the market. This is just basic PS Plus 1 year code. New ps plus cards that just got released in UK has cash value. So Sony is probably getting rid of ps plus voucher cards..

actually , some exclusives including God of War Ragnarok is coming on both ps4 and ps5 ( think about sales sony has more than 100mil ps4 sold vs 15 mil ps5 sold ) , and yes most if not all will come to PC one way or another, so basically most people can play GOWR day one without ps5 .
and yes my ps5 is a dust collector , sadly .

I think I turned my PS5 cpl times since purchased a year a go. With this new sub scam model I'll let it expire. Will bite when it's in the 30s again.

Or dont buy ps plus and force sony to scrap their scheme. Stop and think about it. How many gamers play on PlayStation. Multiply that buy yearly cost or even monthly cost. Are you trying to tell me it costs that much to host multi player through sony. Just convert to computer.

According to my Sony account I already have premium until 6/2023. If I buy one of these cards will it help me get more years?

NM I figured it out. I bought this card for $45 and it extended my existing premium subscription for 6 more months. Now I have premium until 12/23
