Although these are of course not 5G capable, the A12 does show that it has some CDMA bands, so might be of use on Verizon or Visible after unlocking. Just a thought.
Metro phones unlock in 6 month after first month service ends. Long wait time but doesn't require active service to unlock.

Two things to keep in mind:
- The OnePlus N20 was released less than 6 months ago, so at this point there hasn't been any reports of anyone successfully unlocking theirs.
- None of us knows when Metro is going to close this unofficial loophole, and there have been some Metro phones that just won't unlock.
btw...
updated the wiki as follows:
before anyone ask....
to have phone unlock in 180 days (6 months)
You need to have activated the phone 180 days ago.
You do not. repeat do NOT have to pay for service for 180 days.
the above has been true for most every metro deal in the past.
both apple and android
it is extremely likely true for this deal as well.
most get the forced 1 month service.
then simply place phone in a drawer [or use as wi fi device].
wait 6 months.
the sim can be left in phone or stored safely.
it does not matter, as long as u
DO NOT THROW AWAY THE SIM
until u get a confirmed unlock
phone should/will unlock.
maybe 180 days + / - 6 days.
save original sim.
best chance of success as follows:
during the ~6 month wait.
u can use as wifi device.
keep sim in.
does not matter.
do not throw away sim, just in case.
when getting near the 180 day , make sure sim is inside phone.
and phone connected to wi fi.
depending on model.
try to unlock the device, once 1-2 days from day 180 onwards.
- Ultimately ....

Are stock images readily available for flashing the N200 once the 180 days have passed and it is time to remove the SIM lock?
Thanks
You can unlock the bootloader from day 1 via submitting a request to the oneplus website and then install lineage which is "official" for the n200 right from their website.
No you can't. That "Apply system updates after reboot" checkbox if unchecked mean it does NOT wait for a reboot and will apply right after it downloads it whether you are using the phone or not.

N200 ($40) - Lower End
N20 ($80) - Mid Range
Both can be bootloader unlocked to install custom roms without having to sim unlock.
they specially say "with plan it was $115" .
i imagine the phone +tax =~115.
and then 40 plan +20 AF= ~$175 (minimum)
i wonder which store in Nor CA.
id go there right now
Edit: see my last post as the plan was $40. and yes, a $20. activation fee. What brought it down to $49.99 for the phone was the Switcher $100. instant rebate for porting in a number.

I just looked at receipt: shows 150. for the phone (tag on display was $49.99 and compared it to the SE 2020 which was free with port, Switcher instant offer of ($100.) which brings phone price to $49.99. Plan was $40. and they did charge a activation fee of $20. Subtotal $110., 8.25% sales tax $ 4.13 and Utility tax at activation of $1.30.
