Would this work on pre-orders?
I noticed that now when I pulled up the Flex it says: All Bikes $999 With Free Shipping. Use Code '999ALL' at Checkout.
I believe $899 with 'SUMMER' for in-stock bikes and $999 for pre-orders with '999ALL'. Try 'SUMMER' first on the other bikes as some posts above mention they got the pre-order bikes for $899.

I was just at a ebike shop this weekend and after riding one for the first time, it defnitely has good feeling with the power assist. You can also ride ebikes just like regular bikes as they have gears. They also have a manual throttle so that you can use it without the assist.

For whats its worth, ebikes have come a long way and it can defnitely take the hassle of not using all your leg muscles.

Are these rear wheel drive or mid drive?
These bikes use a rear hub motor, so rear wheel drive directly to the rear hub. You can use either the thumb throttle or pedal assist level 0-5 to power the bike.

Ordered one last Friday for my wife and decided to share the savings on SlickDeals. I am hoping for an awesome bike. They are selling these at Best Buy and used to sell them at Costco so the company seems legit.

Apparently the code works for the fat tire version "Outcross" as well.
I live in AZ and was not charged tax so it was 899 OTD.

The SUMMER code was working on all their bikes until earlier this evening. Now the Flex is truly "sold out" and the code doesn't work anymore for that bike. But it still works on the others, including outcross. Just ordered the outcross and the stride (with free $99 accessory pack) for $1798 total shipped. No tax to TX it seems.

Better to choose Ride1up core 5 which is 750 watt motor and has better specs
Not sure if this gen3 is better, but after owning a core 5 for a year, I would never buy anything from ride1up. Too many things broke and customer service was super slow. I spent more time waiting for parts then enjoying the ebike. Only thing they really get going for them is the motors are very well built and can handle some power.

Lectric Xp goes 28mph for $100 more, some sale going on right now I think that includes some extra accessories. Maybe this is nicer in other ways but personally I really appreciated having that extra top end.

These bikes are rebranded china bikes, some company buys a 1000 of them and they will print whatever name you want on the bike , I have seen 10 companies selling this same bike with their names on it
Every single ebike you see in the market is like that. Including any brand name. China has been making ebikes since 2000 and ebike is the main transportation for 1.3billion people from 2005 all the way till now. China has the best tech and quality for anything electronic related, as long as you don't buy cheap.

Trying to find the weight for the fat tire folder… folding is nice but if the bike is like 80lbs it's just a gimmick. 500w bafang motor is good enough up moderate hills. My only issue with e-bike is the high risk of theft…
Good luck finding one. They all seem to be in the mid 70 ~ 80 + pounds weight range. not sure what you mean by gimmick. Please share a legit fat ebike maker, that is under 76 lbs.

So I just ordered the below ebike from Walmart for $700 before it increased in price, is the bike in this post worth the extra $200?

I just bought the e city 2.1 bike from rei for 1499… this will be my first ebike and I have a lot of hills. This seems to be better with a more powerful motor right?

500w rear hub vs 250w mid drive

Ended up buying two of the step through for ~$1,800. No tax and free shipping + accessory packs were also nice. Watched a ton of reviews and this one close to $1,100 was being lauded as huge bang for buck. Being on sale should only make that better. Wish I could've got the red one, but sold out.

BTW - also seriously considered the ride1 with the 750w motor for $1.100, but in the end I really can't justify the extra $200 per bike + what the accessories would run.
