These are much better guitars than what one may think. Extremely Versitile. Have the Deluxe version and one guitar that ends up getting played more than the others. Own a lot of guitars from playing and collecting over 5 decades, from Tele's, Strat's, Les Paul's and most everything in-between. For the price the D'angelico is a lot of guitar (even at list price). This is great guitar for anyone starting out or someone looking for something a bit different. The build quality is surprisingly good, as is tuning stability and playability and has a pile of tonal combinations.

I've been really attracted to this guitar since i first saw it released. Unfortunately I'm not playing very much at the moment. Hoping it will go on sale again when I can justify it.

I agree that they are better than one may think. But the Premier is the bottom of the 3 series with the Deluxe at the top. I have a Deluxe SS and it is superb! So one can't expect as much from their Premier line. One should be aware of the 3 series, Premier, Excel, and Deluxe. D'Angelico has been known to have overpriced "regular" prices, but really good sale prices, sometimes as much as 50% off. I think Premiers are decent basic guitars at bargain prices when on sale like this. I do note that (like most everything else) their prices have gone up significantly. So they are still a relatively good deal.
Close but not on the Solid Body D'Angelico's. The Brighton, Atlantic & Bedford are only available in the Deluxe & Premier editions. Have played and listened to both. As stated above for a new player or someone looking for a different tone these are great for the price. They are in no way a low ene guitar, would compare it to mid level Gretsch or high end Epiphone. For the price a Great Guitar. You rarely see the solid body D'Angelico's on sale.

It was the same price last week and on Black Friday, so that seems like a reasonable bet.
