Wish more monitors came with USB-C though. That's one of the few things I'd want. Maybe a DP to USB-C cable might work though.

I think I bought 2 x U2719DC at the beginning of the pandemic. Love it. 2K resolution is ideal for 27" size. I'd only jump to 4K if you're looking at 32" or larger.

Can someone please help me compare this one with LG 27GL850-B? I just bought the LG one from Amazon and I guess this Dell monitor has better refresh rate (165 vs 144 from LG). Considering both prices are same, should I return the LG one and pick this one instead?

Great deal! I got the Monoprice Dark Matter, but would have preferred the Dell over the Monoprice.

I would overall consider this a great gaming monitor for the $300 price. That being said that they should just changed the MSRP to $300 because this is on sale every other week at some retailer.

This is an excellent monitor, I bought it from Best Buy for the same price about a month ago.
also grabbed this monitor from BestBuy. I think i had a 5x points best buy offer on my amex at the time to sweeten the deal.

Love the monitor so far. really wanted the best for gaming, office work, and affordable. This checked all the boxes for me. Ergonomic stand is nice, tilt/height/swivel is great for people with standing desks and need to adjust their monitor on the fly.

Yeah sucks it doesnt have usb-c, but a small price to pay when I already have all the necessary cables for usb-a, hdmi, and DP. I plug my xbox controller into one of the USB-A ports on the back, so i dont burn through batteries.

I like it very much for $300 but it's definitely not worth more than that. Shipping from Dell is terrible. They won't double box it, and the box is not really sturdy, so expect some rip or gouges.

The model is S2721, so it's only been out for over a year (all other assumptions removed). But it is a 2021 model.
It's actually closer to 2 years. You can see from its manual publication dates, eg. product compliance datasheet [dell.com] and the quick start guide [dell.com], among others [dell.com].

The regular price is a joke. $300 is pretty much the going rate for a 27" 1440p IPS gaming monitor (144hz or better w/Freesync, most of which are G-Sync compatible too). LG 27GL850-B @ $300, Acer XV272U Vbmiiprx @ $280, HP X27q @ $300 are all available on amazon & other retailers now.
