I got it to $575.95 by using id.me (military) at checkout. Plus that R CB site is giving 2% back it looks like. That's another $11 or so off.

Lots of people can use id.me for savings all over the web. Military, students, teachers, healthcare, first responders and government employees are eligible.

Any idea how to get that "cart threshold savings"?

I had $80 rewards expiring June 11. I used them for a purchase that I returned finally just processed and refunded to me 2 days ago. The rewards were never credited to my account. Anyone have experience trying to get them back. It's not fair, but don't want to waste time and have stress fighting a losing battle.

Great bang for the buck if you like the Surface form factor!

Some thoughts after owning the i5 model:

+better keyboard than Surface Pro
+physical camera privacy shutter
+Windows hello and keyboard fingerprint sensor work well
-lower screen resolution than Surface Pro
-weak speakers
-included pen is not good as Surface (there's an optional pen that has tilt support though)
-lacks microSD card reader & USB-A ports
-SSD is more difficult to upgrade than Surface Pro
-limited aftermarket support (cases, skins, screen protectors, etc.) compared to Surface Pro
-fingerprint magnet
-has sim card slot but lacks an internal LTE modem, so cellular connectivity is not possible

Did you ever stop to think you said the credits expire 6/11, if they credited it to you, how would you use it, being it expired 2 weeks ago?

Certainly not keeping a $1500 purchase that was no good, for $80! Like I said, ain't gonna fight it, just wondering if anyone experienced similar.

Ordered one for my dad. He works in IT and travels a lot to worksites, so this should be very useful to him. Tempted to get one for myself to replace my first gen iPad Air, but I think I need a dedicated tablet rather than a work laptop/tablet hybrid. Can't touch these specs for the price though.

Should at least play Vampire Survivors ^^

11th gen i7 and 16GB RAM should be able to play some stuff decently at low to medium settings.

Agree with all that based on my use, but re: SSD upgrade, should state that it's more difficult than the Surface Pro 7+ and 8. Compared to the 7 and earlier, it's much easier (i.e., those Surface Pro devices don't allow SSD upgrade at all).

True, hopefully no one is paying this kind of money for an older Surface Pro so I didn't bother to mention it.
