For a car camping trip I think an instant cabin tent is ideal and so worth it.

Like all tent person rating, cut it in about half unless you are planning to sleep like sardines and not using fancy amenities like air mattresses etc.
From videos I've watched, it looks like 6-7 can be in here comfortably, especially if few of those are kids.
